My Story

Hi, I'm Courtney Mills, the face behind Mills Tallow Co. I'm married to my best friend and biggest supporter, and together we have two beautiful children. My faith is Jesus shapes how I live, love and create. I was born and raised in Manatee County, and I'm also a registered nurse. My journey into skincare wasn't something I ever planned; it was something that found me.

After years in the medical field, I became frustrated with the way we often treat chronic illness-focusing on prescriptions rather than prevention. I started reevaluating my own health, simplifying my diet, removing toxins, and striving for a more natural, intentional way of living.

When I discovered tallow, I wasn't looking to start a business—I was just searching for a truly nourishing, non-toxic way to care for my skin. Instead of buying a jar, I made my own. I shared it with friends and family, and they loved it. That's when I knew this was something special-something worth sharing not just with them, but with my whole community. 

Mills Tallow Co. is my way of bringing simple, effective skincare back to the basics. It's also a step toward being home more with my family, living out the kind of life I truly believe in. I'm so glad you're here, and I can't wait for you to experience the difference of real, nourishing skincare.
